TRUEDELLA EVANS was born December 17, 1917 to the parents of Leslie Morgan and Perdelington Jackson Morgan Woods in Chariton County, MO. Both parents preceded her in death. Her sisters Verlea Morgan and Zenobia Hearld also preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Walter Steve Evans on December 2, 1961. The marriage was later dissolved.

Truedella moved from Salisbury, Missouri at a young age. She lived in Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles, CA, and Chicago, IL. She lived in Chicago for over 20 years where she was employed as a Nanny. She later returned to Kansas City, MO and worked at the University of Kansas Medical Center, retiring September 1, 1986.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Chicago, Illinois. Truedella was not currently attending a church due to her failing health over the last six years. She liked gospel music and enjoyed the weekly praise and devotional services that were held at Plaza Manor Nursing Home where she resided. Her hobbies were fishing, embroidering, and quilts, gardening and cooking. She loved her family and was always cooking and entertaining. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.

She leaves to mourn, nieces, Mrs. Zola Jackson, Chicago, IL, Mrs. Delores (Loisy) Briggs, Sacramento, CA, and Mrs. Vonceil Robinson of Moberly, MO, cousins Cleo (Jessie) Smith of Slater, MO, Hattie Mae Lindsey of Slater, MO, Fleeta Ruth Gross of Moberly, MO, Anna Ruth Banks Anderson of Brunswick, MO and a host of great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Visitation is 10-11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, with services following at 11:00 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial in Salisbury City Cemetery.
