NELDA M. DAVIS,
84, of Salisbury died June 4,
2008 at University Hospital in Columbia. Nelda was born August 3, 1923
in Cherryvale, Kansas the daughter of George L. and Hazel M. (Hackler)
Brockman. She married Loren C. Davis on April 19, 1943 in Ferdonia, KS.
Nelda lived in the Wichita
area, moving the California, MO and the Salisbury area in 1996. She was
a homemaker, babysat, and worked in the kitchen of a nursing home in
Wichita. Nelda was a former member of the Meridian Baptist Church in
Wichita, and member of the Salisbury First Baptist Church in Salisbury.
Nelda is survived by her
husband Loren of Salisbury; two sons Michael Davis Alberque, New Mexico,
Robert Davis and wife Cheryl of Salisbury, MO; a daughter Marsha Bachman
and husband Bob of Centennial, CO; sister Leora Dotson of TN, Margaret
Bowman of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents,
daughter Loretta Davis in 1969, brother Chester Brockman, and sisters
Frances Boyer and Opal Pratt.
Memorial services are Sunday,
June 8th at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Salisbury. Memorial
may be made to the Salisbury First Baptist Church in Salisbury. Services
entrusted to Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury.
