EMMET H. SCHLUCKEBIER, 93, of Brunswick, formerly of Keytesville died February 18, 2008 at Brunswick Nursing Home. Emmet was born December 11, 1914 in Ely, Missouri the son of Albert and Ida (Herren) Schluckebier. He married Emma Louise Mette on February 7, 1937 in Marion County, MO, and she preceded him in death on March 12, 2004.

Emmet lived in Keytesville for 26 years, and also in Palmyra. He was a farmer and worked for Jones Plumbing for 25 years. Emmet was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Salisbury.

Emmet is survived by four sons: Lee Schluckebier and wife Shirley of Seward, NE; John Schluckebier and wife Kay of Dalton, MO; Robert Schluckebier and wife Paula of Bynumville, MO; and Gary Schluckebier and wife Cathy of Quincy, IL; a brother Kenneth Schluckebier of Palmyra, MO; two sisters Pearly Leenerts of Golden, IL, Doris Vahle of Quincy, IL; ten grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. His parents, wife, and a daughter-in-law Linda Schluckebier preceded him in death.

Visitation is 10-11:00 a.m., with services at 11:00 Friday, February 22nd at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
