DORA LARUE MCCOLLUM, 92 of Salisbury formerly of Keytesville died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Chariton Park Health Care Center in Salisbury. She was born March 27, 1916 in Mendon, Mo. the daughter of Steven Henry “Tim” and Hattie (Medlin) Bills.

LaRue married Chester McCollum on February 17, 1934 in Huntsville, Mo. and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2001.

Mrs. McCollum attended the Eccles church and she worked as a seamstress for the Biltwell Clothing Factory in Salisbury for over 30 years.

Survivors include two sons and daughter’s-in-law, Wayne “Buddy” and Jerri McCollum and Tony and Becky McCollum of Keytesville, Three daughter’s and two sons-in-law, Faye and Jim Blackwell, Donna and Gene Cravens and Regina Emmerich all of Salisbury, one sister, Pauline Smith of Independence, Mo. 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 16 great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, sister, Magdalene Knapp and one granddaughter preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury with burial in the Bethany Cemetery north of Keytesville. Visitation will be from 5 till 8:00P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Bethany Cemetery Assn.
