RUBY ANN CAROTHERS, 86, of Columbia, formerly of Keytesville died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at The Bluffs in Columbia. Ruby was born March 20, 1926 in Hayden, CO the daughter of Robert A. and Rosa (Hammondtree) Stout. She married Edward Earl Carothers on April 14, 1944 in Arkansas and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1983.

Ruby was a homemaker. She was a member of the Keytesville United Methodist Church and former member of the Extension Club.

Ruby is survived by three sons Allen Carothers (Sheila) of Columbia, William Earl Carothers (Diana) of Columbia, Robert S. Carothers (Elda) of Salisbury, a daughter Marilyn Scheiderer (Ron) of Salisbury, a brother Mason Stout of Meeker, CO, a sister Silver Grant of Clifton, CO, grandchildren, Ernie Carothers, Allison Rentfro (Keith), Kim Kruse(Derrick), Lena Johnson(Joel), Morgan Payton (Jeremy), Nathan Scheiderer (Alex), Garrett & Ashtyn Carothers, great grandchildren Carlie Marie Black, Samuel Gracen Rentfro, Patrick & Alex Kruse, Mackenzie Johnson, Jaxson Payton, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Charles, Floyd, Paul, Ben, Date, & Orrick, a sister Lucille Reynolds.

Visitation is 9-11:00 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2012 with services following at 11:00 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, with burial in Keytesville City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Keytesville City Cemetery.
