MYRL GUILFORD, 79 formerly of Moberly and Keytesville, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Boone Hospital in Columbia. He was born May 18, 1933 in rural Keytesville the son of Arthur and Edith May (Pearman) Guilford.

Myrl married Frances Ann Green on May 31, 1958 and she preceded him in death.

Mryl was a farmer in the Chariton Valley bottoms until it became apparent that he was in need of assisted living when he moved to various nursing home in Moberly, Columbia and Westphalia. He attended the Asbury United Methodist Church and he was a former FFA member.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and David Werdehausen of Russellville, Mo; three grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother and sister-in-law; Bobby and Enid Guilford of Salisbury, one sister, Pat Meyer of Brunswick, sister-in-law, Betty (Guilford) Imgarten of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Guilford and three sisters, Elizabeth Abeln, Mildred Evans, and twin sister, Melba at infancy.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 18, 2012 at 3:00p.m. with the visitation starting at 2:00p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial in the Asbury cemetery south of Keytesville. Memorials are suggested to the Asbury Cemetery Association.
