MILDRED L. WENZEL, 89, died Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Clare House in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mildred was born September 9, 1922 in Keytesville, MO the daughter of John and Rebecca (Green) Berry.

Formerly a resident of Marshall, Missouri, Mildred had been living a peaceful and independent life in Owasso Oklahoma. Before retiring and moving to Oklahoma, Mildred had been a dedicated dietician for the Marshall Public Schools. Mildred was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was lucky enough to marry and live out her life with her best friend the late Henry Wenzel. The couple spent 63 years together. In those 63 years Mildred had acquired a few new family members; a daughter, Shirley Ann Wenzel, two grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Jones and Justin Lyle Brown, and six great grandchildren, Michelle Jones, Jacob Jones, Chelsey Ward, Zachary Brown, Christopher Brown, and Dylan Brown. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers William and Leland Berry, three sisters Grace Collet, Lavita Cruise, and Christine Wenzel, and her beloved husband Clarence Henry “Hank” Wenzel.

Graveside services are Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., at the Bethany Cemetery north of Keytesville, MO under the direction of Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Cemetery Associaton.
