ERMA RUTH CARTER, 90 of Salisbury, died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Chariton Park Health Care Center in Salisbury. Erma was born March 23, 1921 in Salisbury, Missouri the daughter of Leo and Rose Faye (Case) Harlan. She married Cloyd Earl Carter on April 20, 1946 in Thomas Hill, MO and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1992.

Erma was a homemaker, and had attended the Baptist church in Musslefork and Prairie Hill.

Erma is survived by four sons, Eugene Earl Carter of Moberly, Elvin Leo Carter (Frances) of Fort Worth, TX, Melvin Merill Carter (Angela) of Fort Worth, TX, Gary Wayne Carter (Barb) of Fort Worth, TX, a brother Oscar Harlan of Salisbury, MO, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Ralph Leo Harlan, and a great grandchild.

Visitation is 2-4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Services are Monday, February 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury with burial in Musselfork Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Musselfork Cemetery Association.
