ELEANOR RUTH BENNETT, 84 of Keytesville died Friday, March 2, 2012 at her home. She was born April 23, 1927 in Salisbury the daughter of Curtis and Melva (Dowell) Green. She graduated from Keytesville High School Class of 1945.

Eleanor married Ralph Bennett on August 7, 1946 in Denver, Colorado and he survives of the home.

Mrs. Bennett worked as deputy recorder of deeds for Chariton County for many years and was secretary/bookkeeper for the Keytesville School District. She was member of the Keytesville Christian Church. Red Hats and Friendly Circle Club.

Survivors include her husband Ralph of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Jerry Rutherford of Nashville TN; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one nephew. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Donald Green.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. athe Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury with burial in the Keytesville City Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time. Memorials are suggested to the Keytesville City Cemetery Association.
