BRIAN WIDMER, 43, of Elko, Nevada formerly of Salisbury, died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in Elko. Brian was born March 11, 1969 in Moberly, MO the son of Robert Finnell and Lillian (Reichert) Widmer.

Brian was a graduate of Salisbury High School Class of 1987. He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for 10 years for Barrick Mining Company in Elko, NV. Brian was a member of the St Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and of the Barrick Mine EMT & Rescue Team.

Brian is survived by his parents Bob & Lillian Widmer of Salisbury, a brother Deron Widmer (Megan) of Boonville, MO, a sister Kristi Widmer of Kansas City, MO, nephew and Godson Jack Widmer of Boonville, niece and Goddaughter Adriana Vivas of Kansas City, MO, nephews Cristian and Alejandro Vivas of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and Goddaughter Heidi Strodtman.

Visitation is Monday, August 13, from 4-8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, August 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salisbury with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph School Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
