WILLIAM H. "BILL" CRAVENS, 78 of Salisbury died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at his home. He was born September 14, 1931 in Prairie Hill, Missouri the son of W.H. and Dorothy (Naylor) Cravens.

Bill was a graduate of Prairie Hill High School Class of 1949. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Bill married Julia Ann Runtas on May 7, 1955 in Warren, Ohio and she preceded him in death on December 14, 2004.  Bill was manager for the Salisbury Milling Co. for many years and retired as manager from Ray-Carroll Grain in Brunswick in 1993, he was also engaged in farming for many years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salisbury.

Survivors include three son and daughters-in-law; Dr. Bill and Cindy Cravens of Fulton, John and Lisa Cravens of Columbia and Ted and Sharon Cravens of Salisbury, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Ellen Gilmore of Manhattan, Ks, a sister-in-law, Donna Cravens of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews. His parents, wife, son, Jeff Cravens and a brother Gene Cravens, preceded him in death.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 10:30a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salisbury with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is Friday evening from 5 till 8:00 p.m. with a 7:30 Rosary service at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Memorials are suggested to; Salisbury Senior Center (Meals-on-Wheels) St. Joseph Cemetery Assn. or Howard County Hospice Care.
