WAYNE "SMITTY" SMITH,
82, of Forest Green, MO died January 14, 2008 at Moberly Regional
Medical Center. Wayne was born September 2, 1926 in Keytesville, MO the
son of Alva Taylor and Golden Grace (Marshall) Smith.
Wayne was a heavy equipment
operator in Kansas City area for several years; he also worked for
Mid-West Pre-Coat in Kansas City, and helped Eva run the restaurant in
Forest Green for several years. He was a member of the 101 Union in
Kansas City, MO.
Companion Eva Keffer of Forest
Green; a daughter Donna Sires and husband Bevie of Armstrong, MO; a
sister Ronaldo McKenzie of Keytesville, MO; several nieces and nephews
survive Wayne. His parents and a niece Sharon Kay Lee preceded him in
death.
Graveside services are 10:00
a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2009 at the Bennett Cemetery, north of
Keytesville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bennett Cemetery
Association.
