SARAH LOUISE RAMSEY,
85 of Brunswick, formerly of
Salisbury and rural Keytesville, died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the
Brunswick Nursing Home. She was born September 24, 1923 in Woodlawn,
Tennessee the daughter of Arthur Newton and Ollie A. (Avery) Foglesong.
Sarah married Harve D.
“Junior” Ramsey on July 4, 1941 in Keytesville and he preceded her in
death in 1997.
Sarah was of the Lutheran
faith, she farmed along side her husband for many years on a farm North
of Keytesville, she was a homemaker and she enjoyed piloting small
aircraft for years flying out of the Brookfield Airport.
Survivors include two sons,
C.A. “Buddy and Brenda Ramsey of Salisbury, and Michael Eugene Ramsey of
Houston, Tx; two sisters, Florence Smith of Jerome, Id; Mae Faris of
Keytesville, 5 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Preceding
Sarah in death was her parents, husband, and one son at infancy, Thomas
Henry Ramsey, daughter-in-law, Jenny Ramsey, brother, George Foglesong
and a sister, Ruby Owens.
Visitation will be held Monday
August 17, 2009 from 10:00a.m. until service time at 11:00 at the
Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury with interment in Oakland Cemetery
in Moberly. Memorials are suggested to the Asbury Cemetery Association
