LOUISE MARIE GEBHARDT,
90 lifelong resident of Chariton
County, Missouri died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Moberly Nursing and
Rehab Center. She was born August 12, 1918 in Forest Green, Missouri the
daughter of Louis C. and Sophie (Kottman) Gebhardt.
Louise was a graduate of
Salisbury High School, Class of 1938. She worked for many years as a
seamstress for the Biltwell Clothing Factory in Salisbury. Louise was a
lifelong member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Forest Green and was a
loving caregiver to many family members and loved ones.
Survivors include a sister
Margaret (Pleyer) Hoyte of Clackoma, Oregon, nephews William Gebhardt of
Utah, Maurice Gebhardt of Florida, Harley Gebhardt of Glasgow and
Kenneth Gebhardt of Glasgow, MO, Joe Van Meter of Virginia, Ray Kothe of
Florida, Larry Gebhardt of Wentzville, MO, nieces Mae Etta Gessling of
Moberly, MO, Carolyn McNeall of Keytesville, MO, Eugenia Kothe of
Mexico, MO, Dorothy Wylie of Oregon, two sisters-in-law Norma Gebhardt
and Margaret Gebhardt both of Glasgow. She was preceded in death by her
parents, brothers William Frederick, Awald, Nicholas, Richard, Moritz,
Orviel Gebhardt, sisters Alma Van Meter, Lillie Kothe, nephews Delmar
Gebhardt and Quentin Kothe.
Funeral services will be held
Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11:00a.m. with visitation from 10:00 until
service time at the Salem Lutheran Church (under direction of
Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury). Interment in the Salem Lutheran
Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Salem Lutheran Church
(building repairs).
