KATHRYN V. DOOLEY, 79, of Keytesville died Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Boone Hospital in Columbia. She was born January 12, 1930 in Brunswick, the daughter of Curtis and Frankie (Clark) Dooley.

Kathryn was a graduate of Keytesville High School. She attended Chillicothe Business College majoring in accounting. She lived in Kansas City for many years working for automobile dealers and a finance company.

Upon retirement she returned to the rural area of Keytesville. She loved working and raising many flowers until her health no longer permitted her to do so. She also loved sewing for friends and family.

Kathryn is survived by 3 sisters: Wilma Hitzeman (husband Fred) of Emporia, Kansas, Lois Bengtson (husband Vernon) of Newfolden, Minnesota, and Georgia of the home, on brother Melvard (wife Marjorie) of Salisbury, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was a member of the Keytesville First Baptist Church.

Visitation is 11-1:00 p.m., Monday, November 23rd with services following at 1:00 p.m. at the Keytesville First Baptist Church with Pastor David Nissing officiating, under the direction of Summerville Funeral Home. Music was provided by Cheryl Jackson, pianist and Tammy Billington, vocalist. Burial at the Salisbury City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lee Roy Bearden, Dennis Hitzeman, Zachary Dooley, Marc Wells, Bill Richards, and Dan Calvert.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home or the Keytesville First Baptist Church.
