HOMER G BAER, 84, of Salisbury, died November 12, 2009 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Homer was born August 23, 1925 in Prairie Hill, MO the son of Pete and Carrie (Long) Baer.

Homer was a lifelong area resident and farmer. He was a graduate of Prairie Hill High School Class of 1943. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Homer is survived by a sister Mildred Metzger of Topeka, KS, sisters-in-law Joyce Baer and Elizabeth Baer both of Salisbury, nephews Fredrick Baer of Columbia, Mark Roling of Salisbury, Bob Metzger of Topeka, KS, Kenny Metzger of Topeka, KS, Paul Metzger of Overbrook, KS, nieces Denise Schneider of Salisbury, Gayla Olendorff of Salisbury, Debbie Grotewiel of Clifton Hill, MO, Vickie Baer of Kansas City, Karleen Anderson of Lexington, KY, Carmen Metzger of Avondale, AZ and many other great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Earl Baer and Andrew Baer, sister Adelia Roling, brothers-in-law Vincent Metzger and Frank Roling, nieces Carolyn Kuta and nephew David Baer.

Visitation is 9- 10:00 on Monday, November 16th at the Summerville Funeral Home with graveside services following at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Cemetery Association. Services are under the direction of Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury.
