GENEVIEVE "NANNY" GINTER, 93 lifelong Salisbury area resident died Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Brunswick Nursing Home. She was born February 29, 1916 in Bynumville, MO, the daughter of Frank E. and Mary Ann (Sullivan) Dodge. She married Clarence A. Ginter on February 23, 1935 at St. Joseph Church in Salisbury and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1991.

Genevieve was a graduate of Bynumville High School, Class of 1933. She was a farmwife, a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph Alter Sodality.

Genevieve is survived by one son LeRoy and wife Mary of Salisbury, five grandsons Mike and Dana, Barry and Lisa, Doug and Leigh, Kevin and Julie, Rob and Tia Ginter, nine great grandchildren, Bree, Christine, Justin, Jared, Kyle, Samantha, Evan, Mason, Alaina, sister Ruby Case of Merrillville, IN, several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, and three infant sons, brothers Russell, Orvil, Virgil, Gerald Dodge, sisters Nora Brown and Opal Schlapper preceded her in death.

Visitation is 2-4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 1st with Rosary at 4:00 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, November 2, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salisbury with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph School Foundation or St. Joseph Cemetery Association.
