WILBUR KENNETH CHRISTENSEN, 87 formerly of Keytesville and Salisbury died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Chariton Park Health Care Center in Salisbury. He was born May 14, 1921 in Omaha, Nebraska the son of Fred and Stella (Davis) Christensen.

Wilbur married Sarah Dooley on October 2, 1939 in Salisbury and she preceded him in death on October 7, 1999.

Wilbur had been a mechanic for Jackson Motors in Salisbury for many years retiring in 1986; he also enjoyed working on and driving racecars back in his younger days. He was a member of the Keytesville First Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Wilma and Wayde Duff of Keytesville, Son-in-law, Arlan Teters, Sr. of Mineola, TX, seven grandchildren, eighteen great, grandchildren and two great, great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. His parents, wife, a daughter Mary Louise Teters, brothers Frank and Cecil and sister, Marie Iske, preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be Wednesday July 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Salisbury City Cemetery under direction of Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Salisbury City Cemetery Association.
