NANCY RUTH HAYWARD, 62, of Salisbury, died December 21, 2008 at University Hospital in Columbia. Nancy was born May 29, 1946 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Forest and Ruth (Huey) Sweet. She married Roy Hayward on December 31, 1985 in California.

Nancy moved to Salisbury from California in 1993. She worked as a cook for Chariton Park Health Care Center in Salisbury for 12 years. Nancy loved animals and kids.  Nancy always did the best she could.

Nancy is survived by her husband Roy of the home; her mother Ruth of Sun City, California; a son Bobby Sorensen of San Antonio, TX; two daughters Lori Griffin of New Baden, IL, Sheri Goodwin of Orange, CA; in-laws Jean and Shirley Hayward of Garden Grove, CA; four grandchildren; four nieces and nephews. Her father, and brother Mike Sweet preceded her in death.

Memorial services will be Saturday, December 27th at 10:00 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
