MARY ELIZABETH SIRES, 92, of Armstrong, MO died October 7, 2008 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Mary was born April 9, 1916 in Bowling Green, MO the daughter of Bevie and Laura (Hickman) Gray. She married Jethro Sires on October 30, 1940 in Salisbury and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1999.

Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of the Roanoke Presbyterian Church.

Mary is survived by a son Bevie Sires and wife Donna of Armstrong, MO; a daughter Mary Fehling and husband Marion of Salisbury, MO; a brother Richard Gray of Armstrong, MO; six sisters Hazel Kerr of Fayette, MO, Helen Gray of Fayette, MO Dorothy Dougherty of Fayette, MO, Sarah Francis Wurtz of St. Louis, MO, Gladys Wiesehan of St. Louis, Mo, Nellie Wiesehan of St. Louis, MO; two granddaughters Laura Rae Peck and husband Ryan, Erin Elizabeth Jenkins and husband Charlie; two great grandchildren Josie Peck, Colby Jenkins; several nieces and nephews. Her husband, parents, two brothers Mitchell Gray, Hurley “Jack” Gray and a sister Gertrude Ware, preceded her in death.

Visitation is Thursday, October 9, 2008 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. with services following at 2 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial in the Roanoke Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Roanoke Presbyterian Church.
