MABEL IRENE (JACKSON) PHILLIPS, 67, of Keytesville, Mo died October 25, 2008 at the Brunswick Nursing Home. Mabel was born April 4, 1941 in Lexington, MO the daughter of Reuben and May Jackson. She married Tommy Keith Phillips on August 14, 1955 in Kansas City, MO and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2004.

Mabel moved to Keytesville from the Kansas City area in 1991. She was a waitress for several restaurants in the Kansas City area and worked as a packer for Sears & Roebuck Company in Kansas City for 25 years, retiring in 1991.

Mabel is survived by a three sons Robert Phillips of Keytesville, MO, Tommy Gene Phillips and wife Kay of Lexington, MO, James Dean Phillips of Kansas City, MO; a brother George Jackson of Gladstone, MO; twelve grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, daughter Glenda Hougardy, two brothers, and five sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation is Tuesday, October 28th from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Services are Wednesday, October 29th at 10:30 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Cemetery Association or the American Cancer Society.
