LOREN CLYDE DAVIS,
82, of Salisbury died November
12, 2008 at Chariton Park Health Care Center in Salisbury. Loren was
born May 15, 1926 in Iola, KS the son of Leslie Y and Hazel E.
(Caldwell) Davis. He married Nelda Brockman on April 19, 1943 in
Ferdonia, KS and she preceded him in death on June 4, 2008.
Loren served in the U.S. Army
during WWII, receiving an honorable discharge in 1946. He worked for the
Asbestos Workers Local #15 in Wichita and in maintenance for the Board
of Education in Wichita.
Loren is survived by his two
sons Bob Davis and wife Cheryl of Salisbury, MO, Michael Davis of
Albuquerque, NM; a daughter Marsha Bachman and husband Bob of Centenial,
CO; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews. His wife, parents, daughter Loretta Davis; and brother Merle
Davis preceded Loren in death.
Memorial graveside services
are to be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 18th at the White Chapel
Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wichita, KS, with Military Services
provided by the Kansas Military Honors Team. Memorial contributions may
be made to the Salisbury First Baptist Church. Services entrusted to the
Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, MO.
