INEZ SPOONEMORE HUBBARD, 105, of Keytesville, died December 18, 2008 at Chariton Park Health Care Center in Salisbury. Inez was born June 6, 1903 near Isdora, Missouri in Worth county, the daughter of Frances Marion and Clara (Dillon) Spoonemore.

She was married to Robert S. Hubbard on April 5, 1921 in Grant City, Missouri. To this union two sons were born Robert Dempsey who passed away October 6, 2000 and Joe Dean who was killed in France (WWII) on August 22, 1942. She leaves her daughter-in-law Lena Hubbard of Keytesville, MO and three granddaughters; Nora Jean Brooks, Patsy Jo Thorpe, Peggy Ann Ozkok; four great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; seven brothers; five sisters; a great grandson; and her husband Robert who died November 14, 1989.

Inez moved to rural Chariton County on March 7, 1942 where she resided until after her husband’s death, moving to Keytesville in June 1990. She was a faithful member of the Keytesville United Methodist Church; the Rebecca’s Lodge in Salisbury; and the Friendly Circle Club, where she held many offices. Inez was always ready and willing to do her part. She was a friend to all who knew her. Inez loved the outdoors and was happiest when she was busy in her garden and doing yard work.

Visitation is 1-2:00 p.m. with services at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23,2008 at the Keytesville United Methodist Church under the direction of Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial in Keytesville City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Keytesville United Methodist Church.
