FRANKLIN LOUIS RODGERS, 44, Of Columbia, Missouri, died Saturday, July 26, 2008, from the results of a Swimming Accident At His Apartment Complex In Columbia. He Was Born September 20, 1963, in Sterling Colorado the Son of James And Donna (Widmer) Rodgers.

Frank was a 1981 graduate of Salisbury High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University Of Missouri, Columbia, Class Of 1986. He was working toward His Masters Degree In Electrical Engineering at Washington University In Saint Louis.

Frank lived in Columbia the past four years and was currently employed by The Gates Corporation. From 1986 to 2004 he resided in Saint Louis, MO where he was employed by McDonnell-Douglas Corporation and Mapico/Rockport Pigments Corporation. He was also involved in farming in the Salisbury area.

He was a member of the Church in South Saint Louis.
He was a 4th-Degree Knight with The Knights Of Columbus, Member of the University Missouri Alumni Association, a First Responde in Emergency Response, was a Certified Scuba Diver and a Member of the Citizen Band Potawatomi Tribe In Oklahoma.

Survivors include his Mother, Donna J. Widmer and Jack Timms of Columbia, Sister and Brother-In-Law, Robyn Rae (Rodgers) and Jim Krogman of Brookfield, WI; two Nieces, Megan and Hannah Krogman, Nephew, Matthew Krogman, Half-Brother, Jesse Rodgers of Moberly; three Aunts, Wanda Thies of Glasgow, Karen McFadden of Salisbury, Linda Flaspohler of Moberly, two Uncles, Wayne Widmer of Columbia and Dale Widmer of Salisbury.

He was preceeded in death by his Father, James L. Rodgers on March 23, 1999; Grandparents, Albert and Kathryn Widmer, and Frank and Hazel Rodgers; uncle Kenneth Widmer and cousin Curtis McFadden.

Mass Of Christian Burial Will Be Held Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 10; 30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church In Salisbury, MO with Burial In The Church Cemetery. Visitation Will Be Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 5 till 8:00 p,m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. In Lieu Of Flowers Family Would Like Memorials Be made To The St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Association.
