BERNICE A. GROSS, 65, of Clifton Hill, MO died September 26, 2008 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. Bernice was born December 16, 1942 in Bridgeport, Nebraska the daughter of Alva A. and Gladys (Fought) Bolt. She married Gerald Gross on July 8, 1959 in Gering, Nebraska.

Bernice had lived in Kearney, and Salisbury from 1997 until she moved to Clifton Hill in 2006. She was co-owner of Chariton County Concrete. Bernice was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, gardening and her grandchildren.

Bernice is survived by her husband Jerry of the home; a son Gary Gross of Clifton Hill; two daughters Jerilyn Klenda of Kearney, MO, Sherilyn Ballenger and husband Michael of Salisbury, MO; a sister Betty Jordan of Othello, WA; three grandchildren Jarred, Joshua, Coalten; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Ernie and Alva Bolt.

Visitation is 2-4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 28th at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Graveside services are Monday, September 29th at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Kearney, MO. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
