TONIETTE EVALENE
WINKLER GERKE,
88, of Huntsville, passed away
Monday, April 28, 2008 at Loma Linda Health Care Center. Toinette was
born April 12, 1920 in Higbee, MO the daughter of Robert Lee and Cora
(Griffiths) Edwards. She married James Westly Winkler on May 28, 1938 in
Huntsville, MO, and he preceded her in death. Toniette married Henry
Joseph Gerke on November 29, 1976 in Boonville, MO, he preceded her in
death.
Toniette was a member of the
Huntsville Christian Church, also member of The Order of Eastern Star.
She worked at different public jobs and enjoyed traveling, cooking,
gardening, animals and the country life.
Survivors include one
daughter Martha Cordelia Penton of Moberly, MO, one son David Eugene
Winkler and wife Mary of Auxvasse, MO, seven grandchildren, eighteen
great grandchildren, and eleven great great grandchildren. Toinette has
one infant brother and one sister Sylvia M. Butts that preceded her in
death.
Visitation is 10-11:00 a.m.
on Friday, May 2 with services following at 11:00 a.m. at the Patton
Funeral Home with burial in Huntsville City Cemetery. Memorials may be
made to the Huntsville Christian Church.
