PAUL ALLEN WILHITE,
65, of Huntsville died Friday,
June 20, 2008 at his home. Mr. Wilhite was born April 20, 1943 in
Moberly, MO to William and Mildred Mayo Wilhite. Paul married Geeneen
Rice on November 14, 1980 in Huntsville, Mo.
Paul served his country during
Vietnam in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1969 where he was stationed in Japan
for 2 years. He worked for Wabash, Norfolk and Western, Norfolk and
Southern Railroads for over 30 years. He was also a substitute teacher
and crossing guard at the Westran School District. Paul was a member of
the Huntsville Lions Club, VFW, Eagles, and the Firemans Club in
Pennsylvania. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family
Survivors include his wife
Geeneen, and his mother Mildred both of Huntsville. Five sons Chris,
Scott (Wendy) Kitchen, Jason, Nathan, J.P. (Desaray) Wilhite all of
Huntsville. One Daughter Kelli Wilhite of Linton, Indiana. Four brothers
Bill Wilhite (Fannie Lou), John Wilhite (Linda), Pete Wilhite (Diane)all
of Huntsville, and Dr. Bob Wilhite (Barbara) of Macon Eight
grandchildren Seth, and Alec Lockhart, Elijah, Emily, Andrew, and Dillen
Wilhite, Langden, and Marshall Kitchen, and numerous neices and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his father William “Bill” Wilhite, and one
grandaughter MacKenzie Sue Ann Kitchen.
Funeral Services will be 11:00
A.M. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in
Huntsville. Burial will be at the Huntsville City Cemetery with full
military honors. Memorial Contributions can be made out to the Paul
Wilhite Living Memorial Scholarship or to the Huntsville United
Methodist Church. Visitation will be 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at
Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville.
Rev. Calvin Brown will
officiate.
Pallbearers: Brandon, Clark, Mike, Joel Wilhite, Tyler John and Brad
Rice.
Honorary Pallbearers: Ron McAtee, Kenny Smith, Frank Burkhart, Roger
Qualls, EE Wilson, Tommy Patton, Rick Williams, Jack Burton, Mark Iacono,
and Jerry McGrogan.
