LOREN L. MILLER passed away February 11, 2008 at his home after a long illness.

He was born May 6, 1930 to Arthur and Evelyn Miller of Monroe County. On November 12, 1950 he married Betty Virginia Arnett and she survives of the home.

Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jeff Webster; granddaughters Mandy Harold and Stuart, Michele Johnmeyer and Jerimiah, Marcie Miller and Kira Webster;a grandson, Cole Webster and Marcie; daughter Margie McCoy of Huntsville, MO; five great-grandsons; sister, Lela Arnett and Junior of Paris; Linda Heathman of Arizona; brother's, Alvin Miller and Ruby of Paris, Jim Miller and Kathy of Lampasas, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two son's Joey and Donnie; two sisters, Twila Ragsdale and Sharon Wood.

Loren was a veteran of the Korean War serving on the front line 14 months in the U.S. Army. He received an honorable discharge.

He began working in 1957 with the Wabash Railroad and retired as an engineer after 33 years.

He loved old tractors, the bigger the better; and he loved making them run and showing them at the Old Flywheel Shows. He also had great love for his home and family.

Loren was a member of the Huntsville First Baptist Church and the Fellowship Class; the Paris Old Thresher Association and the Macon Flywheel Association. He also helped with Old Settlers Day in Huntsville, and was the founder of the Randolph County Flywheel Association.

Memorials are suggested to the Living Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Huntsville First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville with burial and military honors in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Reverend Ron Hymer will officiate.
