EVELYN LOUISE CROSS,
89 of Moberly formerly of
Roanoke, Missouri died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Moberly Nursing and
Rehab Facility. She was born December 6, 1918 in rural Clifton Hill,
Missouri the daughter of Luther and Bernice (Shives) Young.
Evelyn married Martin L. Cross
on September 22, 1933 in Clark, Mo. and he preceded her in death on Aug.
25, 1987
She was a housewife and a
member of the First Baptist Church in Huntsville.
Survivors include one son and
daughter-in-law; Jerry and Viola Cross of Armstrong, one brother, Billy
Gene Young of Huntsville, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren,
seven great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her
parents, husband one son Luther Cross, one daughter, Joyce Garner, one
brother, R.D. Young and two sisters, LaRue Miller and Mary Frances
Martin, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held
Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 10:00a.m. at the Patton Funeral Home in
Huntsville with burial in the Clifton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 6 till 8:00p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested
to the Huntsville First Baptist Church Parking Lot Fund.
