DORIS ELEANOR
SCHUPBACK,
died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at
10:15 a.m. in Independence, Missouri.
Doris Eleanor Epperly was born
November 23, 1922 in rural Clifton Hill, Missouri, the elder daughter of
the late Charles Russel and Madge (Singleton) Epperly.
On September 29, 1943 she was
united in marriage with Eugene Kent Schupback. They were the parents of
three children, Karen, Jerry and Kent.
Mrs. Schupback was a 1940
graduate of Prairie Hill, Missouri High School, and a 1942 graduate of
Moberly Junior College.
She was an employee of the
Zale Jewelry Co. for 25 years, until her retirement in 1984.
She was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church in Independence. She had been a graduate of the
Menninger Bible Class and a member of the Mildred Dunn Bible Study
Group.
Surviving are: a daughter,
Karen Cullum and husband Danny of Tennessee, a daughter Jerry Burkard
and husband Robert of Georgia, and son and daughter-in-law Kent and
Bonnie Schupback of Sibley, Missouri, eight grandchildren, seventeen
great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, sister, Mildred
Krager, of Jefferson City, Missouri, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Schupback
was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Visitation and services will
be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Patton Funeral Home in
Huntsville, Missouri with Reverend Mark A. Medina officiating.
Visitation time is 10:00 a.m. and services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the Clifton Hill Cemetery in Clifton Hill, Missouri.
