DELBERT YUNG, 87, of Huntsville, Missouri died Wednesday, January 2,
2008 at the Moberly Regional Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1920
in Randolph County, Missouri. Delbert lived most of his life in Randolph
County, except for his time he spent in the military. He was a graduate
of Cairo High School Class of 1937.
On June 7, 1947 he married
Elizabeth Ann Barger in Moberly, MO, and she preceded in death on
December 21, 2003.
Delbert served his country in
the U.S. Army during WWII receiving an honorable discharge in December
1945. Following his discharge from the Army he was engaged in farming
and raising liivestock. Delbert was a member of the First Baptist Church
in Huntsville.
Survivors include a daughter
and son-in-law: Mary Ann and Roger Johnson of Huntsville, four
grandchildren, Aaron Birge,Travis Birge, Dustan Johnson, Amanda Johnson,
eight great grandchildren, and one brother Edward Friesz of Huntsville.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 at the Patton
Funeral Home in Huntsville with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in
Moberly. Visitation will be from Noon until service time Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home.
