OLETHA EDNA (JONES) BRACKEN, 93 of Huntsville passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at her home. Oletha was born January 31, 1919 in Chariton County, Missouri the daughter of Rev. William Roy and Elizabeth Myrtle (Grant) Lee. She married Anntorie C. Jones in 1934 he preceded her in death on December 9, 1969. She later married Jay P. Bracken in 1978 and he preceded her in death in 1994.

Mrs. Bracken was a member of Grant Lovell AME Church in Moberly. Before retirement Edna worked as a presser for the Biltwell factory in Salisbury. She loved playing cards, cooking, gardening and canning. Edna was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan and Atlanta Braves Fan. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Donald L. Jones and wife Nancy of Fayette, MO; one daughter, Lois Robinson of Moberly, MO; one brother, Thomas J. Lee and wife Jackie of Prairie Home, MO; three sister, Ruth Ganaway of Fayette, MO, Naomi Christian of Higbee, MO, Alva Wilson and husband Woodrow of Colorado Springs, Co; five generations of grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands Anntorie C. Jones and Jay P. Bracken, two sons Charles Jones Sr. and Ernest Jones, one daughter Justina Mitchell, one bother Raymond Lee, one sister Gertrude Mitchell, and four grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Burial will be in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Grant Lovell AME Church.
