NELL LAVON "DAVIS"
CLOSSER,
91 of Moberly died Tuesday, July
17, 2012 at Benchmark Healthcare of Loma Linda.
LaVon was born June 5, 1921 in
Huntsville, MO the daughter of Samuel Frail and Cora Bell (Hagar) Davis.
She married Charles Otis Closser on September 13, 1942 in Moberly, MO.
He preceded her in death on October 1, 1987.
Survivors include one
daughter, Georgia Lee Stone and husband Sheldon of Arlington, IN; six
grandchildren, Angelia “Kelly” Joralemon, Lisa Meadows, Shawn Closser,
Michelle Closser, Regina Closser and Laurie Pratt; several great
grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Closser was
preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Max Edward Closser,
one grandson, Mark Andrew Kelly, one brother Kelly Davis, one sister
Cuba Long and one infant brother.
LaVon was a member of West
Park United Methodist Church in Moberly. She worked as an office manager
for Farrell Gas in Moberly for 32 years. LaVon enjoyed spending time
with her family and friends.
Graveside services will be
held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Huntsville City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 10:00 to 10:45 am Thursday at the Patton Funeral
Home in Huntsville.
In lieu of flowers the family
suggests memorials to the West Park United Methodist Church.
