JAMES LARKIN DODD,
65 of Huntsville died Saturday,
August 04, 2012 Benchmark Healthcare of Loma Linda in Moberly.
James was born October 10,
1946 in Huntsville, MO to James Woodrow and Bertha Emeline (Boes) Dodd.
Mr. Dodd graduated from
Huntsville High School in the class of 1964. He served his country
during the Cuban Missile Crisis in the Navy on the USS Randolph. James
worked as a Captain at the Moberly Area Correctional Center before
retirement. Larkin was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church in
Moberly, past member of Huntsville Jaycees, served on the Huntsville
City Council, Huntsville Volunteer Fire Department, enjoyed running 5k’s
and was a square dance caller around the area.
James is survived by one son,
James William and wife Heather of Madison, MO; one daughter, Amy Jo
Walgren of Moberly, MO; one brother, David Dodd and wife Patty of
Huntsville, MO; one sister, Doris Tallman and husband Richard of
Huntsville, MO; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other
relatives.
Funeral Services will be held
6:00 PM Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville.
Rev. Dustyn Tallman will officiate. Burial with full military honors
will be in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 to
6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the
Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Moberly.
