LARRY JOE CLEETON, SR., 64, of Huntsville passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at his home. Larry was born March 28, 1947 in Higbee, MO the son of William Grover Cleeton, Jr. and Florence Louise Grapes.

Larry married Sharon Roberts on Febuary 18, 1973 at Sweet Springs Baptist Church. She survives him.

Larry served his country in the Navy and Army during Vietnam. He was a member of Moberly VFW Post 2654, DAV, PVA and Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 2669 in Moberly. He enjoyed going to Casino’s, Traveling, Fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Cleeton of the home; father, William Cleeton, Jr. of New Franklin, MO; mother, Florence Sumpter of Moberly, MO; one son Larry Cleeton, Jr. of Huntsville, MO; one daughter Deloris Diane Young and husband Mathew of Moberly, MO; one brother Gary Wayne Sumpter of Higbee, MO; one sister Wanda Kay Cleeton of Moberly, MO; one grandchild, Kayden James Cleeton; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cleeton was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Opal Grapes and stepfather, Rolin Sumpter.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Burial with Full Military Honors will be in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Huntsville City Cemetery.
