HUGH F HARDGROVE, 87, of Eldon, MO, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at his son's home in Eldon. Hugh was born Aug 18, 1924 in Rural Randolph County, MO the son of John Walter and Mable Elizabeth (Yates) Hardgrove. He married Georgia Elizabeth Stenton on September 26, 1942 in Clifton Hill, MO. She preceded him in death 67 years later on July 14, 2009.

Survivors include his son Jon E. Hardgrove and wife Sue of Eldon, MO; two sister-in-laws Ruth Wilson of Springfield, MO and Selma Stenton of Scotts Valley, CA; two grandchildren, Pamela Grosvenor and husband Todd and Shawn Hardgrove and wife Alona of Jefferson City, MO; one Great Granddaughter Allison Grosvenor; five nephews; three nieces and several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Hardgrove was preceded in death by his parent, and wife, Georgia E. Hardgrove. Mr. Hardgrove was a member on the Clifton Hill United Methodist Church. He also was a member of American Legion Post 1000 of Jefferson City, MO. Hugh enjoyed being outdoors, traveling and genealogy.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville, MO. Burial with full military honors will be in the Clifton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday morning until the time of the service. Memorials are suggested to the Clifton Hill United Methodist Church.
