DORIS A. RANEY, 92 of Clifton Hill, MO passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Doris was born October 7, 1918 in New Virginia, IA the daughter of Claude W. and Margaret (Shoup) Kimzey. She married Carl W. Raney on March 8, 1939. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1994.

Survivors include two sons, Larry D. Raney and wife Virginia of Pleasantville, IA, Michael “Pete” Raney and wife Gina of Clifton Hill, MO; one daughter Jackie Bales of Mercer, MO; one brother Jerry Kimzey and wife Norma of Phoenix, AZ; one sister Jo Ann Chandler and husband Don of Davenport, IA; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Raney was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl W. Raney, one son Steven Raney and one son-in-law Don Bales.

Doris was a member of Eldad Presbyterian Church. She was an Avid bowler and was inducted into the Women’s Hall of Fame at Community Lanes in Moberly. Doris also liked to watch game shows, crossword puzzles and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2011 at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville, IA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Swan Cemetery in Swan, IA. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or American Alzheimer’s Association.
