VUANITA B. HILL, 82, of Huntsville died March 5, 2009 at Boone Hospital Center. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 9, 2009, 10:00 AM, at the 1st Baptist Church in Huntsville. Burial will be in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville.

Mrs. Hill was born April 15, 1926 to Hugh and Vertie Hughes Wright. She was married to Stanley Edger Hill he preceded her in death on November 2, 1992.

Survivors include one son; Jerry Hill (Mary) of Huntsville; two grandchildren Brain Hill and Melanie Foster; seven great grandchildren Ashley Saphian, Jessica Hill, Justin Foster, Travis Hill, Alicia Foster, Breanne Hill and Cody Hill; two great great grandchildren; Austin and Kiersten Saphian. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Vuanita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Stanley Jr.
Hill, one daughter Joyce Marie Long, one brother Jimmy Wright, one sister Lena Rader and one daughter-in-law Kathy Hill.

Mrs. Hill was a very active member of 1st Baptist church in Huntsville. She was a member of the Mary Martha Sunday School class. Lifetime member of the VFW post 2654 Ladies Auxiliary. She was member of the Linues Club, Old Settlers Committee and Community Club. She was woman of the year in 1999. She enjoyed Spending with her friends and family.
