EMMA GEAN SMITH, 68, of Huntsville died Monday, December 14, 2009 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 19. 2009 at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Burial will be in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. 

Emma was born January 24, 1941 in Jacksonville, Mo the daughter of Frank and Sally (Robinson) Brown. She married William Foster “Jock” Smith on October 25, 1959 in Huntsville. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2000.

Emma is survived by one son Calvin Smith and wife Lorri of Moberly; one daughter Deborah Denise Smith of Huntsville; two sisters Susie Jacobs of Moberly and Florence Jacobs and husband Bob of Mexico; six grandchildren Jamie R. Smith, Calvin E. Smith Jr., William Carlo Smith, Devonnie Ann Smith, Kameo K. Evans and Kameron K. Evans; two great granddaughters Lexis Hammes and Alaina Smith; several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, four brothers Frank Brown, Bill Brown, Roy Brown and Sammy Brown, one sister Catherine Welch and one grandson Kevin Eugene Hayes preceded Mrs. Smith in death.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Timmons Temple Church in Huntsville. She enjoyed rummage sales, playing cards, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Memorials can be made to the donors choice.
