HORTENSE SPOTTS,
100, of Huntsville died Monday,
December 22, 2008 at Moberly Nursing and Rehab. Funeral Services will be
Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Patton Funeral Home in
Huntsville. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM Saturday till the time of
the service. Burial will be in the Roanoke Cemetery.
Hortense was born July 20,
1908 In Roanoke, MO to Norval Davison and Julia Belle Dawson Wickes. She
Married Harry Russell Spotts on June 5, 1926 in Armstrong, MO. He
preceded her in death. Survivors include: three sons: James
Willard Spotts (Glenda) of Booneville, MO, Norval Lewis Spotts (Darlene)
of Huntsville, MO, Garry Russell Spotts (Ruth Anne) of Columbia, MO, one
former daughter-in-Law Susan White of Columbia, MO, one sister-in-law
Ila Wickes of Moberly, MO, seven grandchildren: Glenn Spotts (Cheryl),
David Spotts (Cathy), Libby Spotts, Steve Spotts (Sheila), Mike Spotts
(Melissa), Kim Massey (Mike), and Jaime Vogel (David), sixteen
great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren, and several
nieces and nephews. Mrs. Spotts was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, two brothers:
Buddy Wickes and Birch Wickes, three sisters Francis Virginia Wickes,
Nannie Mae Jones, and Alda Robinson.
Hortense was a member of the
Huntsville United Methodist Church. Memorials can be made to the
Huntsville Untied Methodist Church.
